Depending on your account's country and area, Udemy currently accepts a variety of payment methods. Nigerian students have recently encountered severe difficulties when attempting to pay for Udemy courses. This is because Naira cards cannot be used to make overseas payments. Since Nigerian banks no longer accept the Naira card for these kinds of transactions, a lot of eager students are left wondering how to get access to the priceless learning materials on Udemy. In this post, we'll look at why Naira cards can't be used to make Udemy payments, which Nigerian banks accept foreign payments, and how virtual debit cards are changing the online learning environment.

Why am I unable to use my Nigerian debit card to pay for my Udemy course?

Nigerian students are understandably frustrated because they are unable to pay for Udemy courses using their Naira cards. The move by Nigerian banks to limit the use of Naira cards for foreign transactions, including payments for online courses, is the root cause of this issue. For those who are keen to improve their abilities and knowledge through Udemy's wide range of course offerings, this development has created a hurdle.

So I did some research to find out what a virtual debit card was, and this is what I found.

Virtual debit cards are designed especially for international transactions. Using this virtual card, which works like a traditional credit card but is made digitally, users can easily make payments on Udemy and other foreign platforms.
